Man of My Dreams — A New Musical A Staged Reading & Talk Back

Executive Producer Jackson Talley and Producer Nelson Eusebio are pleased to announce a staged reading and talk back of Man of My Dreams, a short, proof-of-concept musical with book and lyrics by Melisa Tien and music by Jackson Talley, directed by Angel Katthi. The reading takes place on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 7pm at the Little Theater at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City, Queens. About the musical:

In contemporary China, a happily married woman hires another woman to cosplay a fantasy boyfriend from a video game—and goes on real-life dates with him. What begins as a private indulgence launches her into an unexpected journey of self-discovery, as she questions her sexuality, her marriage, and what she truly desires. Man of My Dreams is a short, proof-of-concept musical—warm, witty, and deeply human—about identity, intimacy, and the courage it takes to ask for what you want.

The reading will feature Katherine Lynn-Rose, Clark Mantilla, and James Wei-Yuan Wong, with a post-show talk back moderated by Harrow Sansom Choi.
