Welcome the Lunar New Year with warmth and wonder at Red Horizon: Art. Heritage. New Energy, a vibrant group exhibition curated by Flushing Town Hall teaching artist Stephanie S. Lee. Featuring inspiring works by distinguished artists of Asian descent—Jae Hi Ahn, Eugenie Chao, April Chong, Sei Ryun Chun, Chemin Hsiao, Sophia Chizuco, Cui Fei, Lily Honglei, Herry Koo, Stephanie S. Lee, Weihui Lu, Sui Park, Natsuki Takauji, and Yu-Whuan Wang—the exhibition celebrates the courage, vitality, and forward-moving energy of the Year of the Red Horse through contemporary painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

The exhibition opens with a festive Opening Reception on January 23, from 6–8 PM, featuring a Korean Tea Ceremony (다례) led by artist Sei Ryun Chun, offering visitors a moment of reflection, hospitality, and cultural tradition.

The celebration continues with a ⁠hands-on Horse Painting Workshop led by Stephanie S. Lee, and concludes with a ⁠Closing Reception and artist talk by Eugenie Chao, bringing artists and audiences together to engage more deeply with the exhibition’s themes of renewal, movement, and new beginnings inspired by Lunar New Year traditions.
