Work Samples Dos and Don'ts:

In order to access funding, residencies, and other professional opportunities, artists are often required to submit work samples for consideration. Who reviews work samples? How are they reviewed? How important is formatting? Context? Our interactive workshop will cover these issues and provide a series of examples from a range of artistic disciplines that will ask participants to consider what makes a work sample compelling and why.

With introduction by artist Carlos David.

About Fundraising Fundamentals:
LMCC’s core fundraising series is designed to help artists develop knowledge and skills in raising the resources to support their practice. The series features workshops on five key areas of fundraising, including: the funding ecosystem, grantwriting, budgeting, work sample dos and don’ts, and cultivating individual donors.

Each summer, select workshops are offered in conjunction with LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grant program outreach schedule.

In support of the health and safety of our communities, LMCC is offering all Fundraising Fundamentals workshops virtually this summer. All workshops are free and open to all. Click the link to RSVP!
