BUDGETING 101:

A budget is a planning and communication tool. Yet for many artists, the process of building a budget is unfamiliar, and can seem complicated or confusing. In this workshop, participants will learn how to construct a line item budget that represents anticipated expenses and income for a sample artistic project. The session will also include a review of basic budgeting terms and concepts, and address the importance of balancing and reconciling actual costs to your budget.

With introduction by Juango Juan J Gutiérrez and Ashleigh Hendrix, Los Pleneros de la 21.

About Fundraising Fundamentals:
LMCC’s core fundraising series is designed to help artists develop knowledge and skills in raising the resources to support their practice. The series features workshops on five key areas of fundraising, including: the funding ecosystem, grantwriting, budgeting, work sample dos and don’ts, and cultivating individual donors.

Each summer, select workshops are offered in conjunction with LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grant program outreach schedule.

In support of the health and safety of our communities, LMCC is offering all Fundraising Fundamentals workshops virtually this summer. All workshops are free and open to all. Click the link to RSVP!
