Let's Talk About Photo Books: A Panel Discussion

Join six photographers in a candid discussion about photo books and zines, and the roles they play in our career as photo-based artists.

Join photographers Melissa Breyer, Sunny Leerasanthanah, Nancy Scherl, Erica Reade, Emily Sanchez and Cindy Trinh for this exciting panel conversation. The panel discussion will be an introduction to each speaker and their work, along with a discussion about the role of photo books in their respective photo careers, as women, non-binary and genderqueer photographers. Photographers will discuss what led them to the type of work they make, their book journey, whether the body of work is considered ‘finished’ after a book is released, the highs and lows of the printed work journey, and concluding with a look at the role of funding and resources and access, and what this means for emerging or lower-income photographers. Following the conversation will be time for a question and answer with the audience.
