8 – 10PM
Award-winning musician Joe Kye brings his unique blend of violin looping, electronics, singing, and storytelling, with special guest, Chinese-American hip-hop artist Jason Chu. Migrants tells the story of Joe’s life as an immigrant Asian-American, weaving together original music, humorous stories, and cutting-edge technology. Pre-show workshop on expressing cultural identity through sound will have participants question: What does it mean to be Asian-American? How can creativity give people the tools to build their identity?
