This exhibition is the ninth installment in a series of exhibitions organized by Emmy Award-winning writer Motoichi Adachi and Kyoko Sato, a renowned curator based in New York known for her expertise in Japanese culture. The overarching goal of this series is to showcase the talent of Japanese artists who produce captivating works across various genres and backgrounds, while integrating them into the forefront of the global art scene. The ninth series will provide the most open opportunity possible based on the idea that every human being is precious and every artist’s work is also valuable.

Concurrently, “Japan Contemporary” Series 8, Juried Open Call “Stepping Into A World III" (Gallery Max New York 552 Broadway , New York NY 10012, July 18-24 | Tenri Cultural Institute of New York 43A W 13th St, New York NY 10011, July 16-22), a two venues exhibition, will be held to sweep the New York art scene with Japanese art. They will present works of 14 Japanese artists in the Series 9, and 39 in the Series 8, 52 artists altogether.
