Grieving Together: A Vigil for Lives Lost to Hate Violence

Thursday, February 16, 2023
6 – 8PM

The Asian American Federation (AAF) invites you to Grieving Together: A Vigil for Lives Lost to Hate Violence on February 9, 2023 at 6-8 pm in Union Square, Manhattan to honor the lives lost to Asian hate and intra-community violence.

In the aftermath of the tragic Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay mass shootings in California, this vigil will offer a space for Asian Americans and other communities of color to come together to grieve and find support in one another. As we also observe the anniversaries of Michelle Go’s and Christina Yuna Lee’s deaths, and those who died in the 2021 Atlanta shooting, we invite attendees to honor the many lives lost to anti-Asian violence.
Community leaders, elected leaders, artists, and performers will help us commemorate the lives of our elders, sisters, and brothers, and find a way forward.
AAF will also offer resources to support the Asian community’s safety and healing.
