The Annual Film Lab Holiday Gala/NYC Premiere of “Under The Blood Red Sun” (starring Oscar Winner Chris Tashima) with cast Q&A featuring special guest moderator, George Takei. All Proceeds to Film Lab’s Diversity in the Arts Initiatives!

Join AAFL for the Film Lab’s annual fundraising gala at Rockefeller Center! This year, AAFL will present the NYC Premiere of Under The Blood Red Sun, starring Academy Award Winner, Chris Tashima. This film was based on the best seller novel of the same title by Graham Salisbury and it details the life of Tomi, a Japanese American boy whose family was sent to the internment camp during World War II. Following the screening, there will be a conversation with the cast and we are especially excited to have actor/activist George Takei as the special guest moderator Mr. Takei, already famous for his role in Star Trek, now stars in the Broadway musical Allegiance with a very similar story to UTBRS. Afterwards, Film Lab guests are also invited to the post screening reception with the opportunity to share some yummy food and drink with the cast and Mr.Takei.
