An evocative evening of poetry and conversation to celebrate the launch of ECDYSIS: CACOPHONY OF SKINS (Fourteen Poems), the debut poetry collection by Dena Igusti. Dena will read selected pieces from their newly published book, exploring themes of identity, transformation, and survival.

Dena Igusti is a queer Indonesian Muslim writer born and raised in Queens, New York. They are the author of ECDYSIS: CACOPHONY OF SKINS (14Poems, London 2025) and CUT WOMAN (Game Over Books, 2020), which has been listed as a 2022 Perennial Award Winner, 2020 Harvard Bookstore Staff Pick, and Entropy Mag’s Best Of 2020-2021. Their work has been published in The Margins, BOAAT, Peregrine Journal, and more. Their work has been produced and performed at LA Times, The Brooklyn Museum, The Apollo Theater, The Public, and more. They are an Asian American Writers’ Workshop Open City Fellow, Best of the Net Nominee, Baldwin For The Arts Resident, and more.
