Dragoness

May 28 – June 7, 2026

A high-octane, satirical commentary on race and creating art under capitalism, Dragoness interrogates the ethics of reinventing identity in order to satisfy the expectations of those in power.

Written by Thai-American playwright Cha Mangan and directed by Samantha Toy Ozeas. Starring Vi To, Bridget Gao, Balfour Clark, and Aaron Applebey. Produced by Tin Can Contingency. To learn more about the project and artists involved: https://givebutter.com/dragoness

Performances run May 28th-June 7th, Thursdays-Sundays, 7pm at Inspiration Point. Tickets are $15.

Performances of Dragoness will be accompanied by a visual art exhibition entitled Misalignment. Misalignment invites artists to respond to paradoxes, splits, and contradictions. They are interested in identity as paradox, in life as contradiction, and in practices that honor the multitudes within and the multiple realities that serve us both for expression and for protection. Work featured confronts internalized oppression, betrayal—of language, land, lineage—and the uneasy desire to pass, belong, or ascend.
