The seventh annual conference of the US-China Music Institute (May 1-3, 2025) is a three-day series of scholarly, interactive, and musical events exploring intercultural exchange while drawing on the rich tapestry of Chinese musical heritage and its resonance in the West.

On May 1, a distinguished panel of speakers will offer their perspectives on leadership in Chinese music performance and studies outside of China. The discussions will be moderated by author and China cultural expert Sheila Melvin.
