"Dear Mother" - A Writing Workshop + Open Mic

Join Sakura Series for “Dear Mother,” a writing workshop + open mic” on Mother’s Day. They will explore the often complex relationships with our mothers and mother figures as we embark on a journey of self-expression guided by a prompt + mediation exercise. They will honor the joys, challenges and heartfelt moments that make up motherhood and mother-child relationships. This will end in an open mic, where participants can either share what they wrote in the workshop or something they have written in the past. As you come together to celebrate Mother’s Day, you will acknowledge the diverse narratives that shape our understanding of motherhood.
