Cultural Organizing for Community Change 2025 on Saturday, December 6 at Mercury Store!
Join fellow organizers, artists, media makers, and policy makers to learn effective ways to deepen your work and engage your creativity in organizing for community change. Convening in Gowanus, the day will include a cultural organizing framework, hands on skill building workshops, case studies, and opportunities for networking and resource exchange. While it’s ideal to attend the full day, we also welcome you to come for part of the time.
The event will include Andrea Assaf, Art2Action; amalia deloney, point A studio and Arts & Democracy; Dr. Mindy Fullilove and Molly Rose Kaufman, University of Orange; Michael Higgins Jr., Social Justice Walks; Paloma McGregor, Angela’s Pulse; Alex Navarro-McCay, political consultant and educator; Urban Bush Women, Builders, Organizers & Leaders Through Dance (BOLD); Jennella Young, artist and educator; and more! Agenda and session details will be updated below as they are confirmed.
Full day sliding scale fee: $25, $50, $100, $150. No one will be excluded due to an inability to pay. They rely on registration fees to cover workshop costs, so they encourage organizations with means to contribute on the upper end of this scale. Group rates available. Email info@nocdny.org to request a reduced fee, group rate, or comp.
