CRIPFEST

Saturday, July 25, 2015
2 – 10PM

Mat Fraser (American Horror Story) curates this all-day festival celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Professional disabled artists present performance, visual art and video works with celebration, agitation, and Cripsploitation—while reclaiming their identities as part of a larger movement of creative artists who are reshaping the notion of disability in our world, away from the inaccurate performances of disability on Broadway. In Fraser’s own words, “CripFest will explode the condescending do-gooder myths around disability, showing the dangerous, transgressive, and amazing work of some of the most radical and exciting artists in the UK and US.” This ain’t no telethon!
