Coming Out is in Remission (A Queer Asian Story) Comedy Storytelling Show

“Coming Out is In Remission” is a coming-of-age solo show written and performed by NYC-based Chinese-Malaysian comedian Ricky Sim. Taken from the events during the time his mom battling with terminal cancer, while he was trying to decide whether to come out of the closet to her.
Combining stand-up and storytelling, the show explores the meaning of acceptance, grief, the Asian immigrant family dynamics, and why you shouldn’t think about your ancestors when having gay sex.
