Chunxiang: A Queer Musical

Chunxiang: a queer musical is an original Chinese-language musical reimagining the Ming-dynasty classic The Peony Pavilion through a queer-feminist lens. This event is a work-in-progress staged musical reading workshop featuring the first half of the musical. The presentation will be followed by a conversation with the creative team. Audiences are invited to share their responses, questions, and ideas. Your feedback will become part of the musical’s ongoing development.
