Chinese English Bilingual Comedy【Humor Section Presents】中英双语脱口秀精品演出【幽默小区出品】

Founded in Beijing in 2013, The Humor Section is one of China’s earliest American-style stand-up comedy organizations. For over 13 years, they have produced comedy in both Chinese and English and helped develop China’s first generation of stand-up comedians. Many comedians who later appeared on China’s most popular comedy television shows began their careers performing with The Humor Section.

成立于2013年的 幽默小区（The Humor Section），是中国最早的美式脱口秀厂牌之一。十三年来，我们持续制作中文及英文脱口秀演出，并培养出中国第一代脱口秀演员。许多后来登上中国热门脱口秀综艺的演员，都曾从幽默小区开始表演。

In 2026, The Humor Section expanded from Beijing to New York, establishing regular Chinese-language stand-up shows at Q.E.D. Comedy Club and producing Asian English-language comedy showcases at Asia Society.

2026年，幽默小区正式从北京拓展到纽约。过去大半年，我们在 Q.E.D. Comedy Club 建立固定中文脱口秀驻场，并在 Asia Society 制作高规格亚裔英文脱口秀演出。

More recently, they expanded to Broadway Comedy Club in Midtown Manhattan, bringing together comedians from New York, mainland China, Taiwan, and beyond for original stand-up comedy in Chinese, English, and bilingual formats.

前不久，我们又拓展到曼哈顿中城的 Broadway Comedy Club，带来中文、英文及中英双语脱口秀，汇集纽约、中国大陆、台湾及国际舞台上的优秀喜剧演员。

Tony Chou is an early pioneer and influential figure in China’s stand-up comedy industry, and one of the few Chinese comedians to have toured internationally performing stand-up in English.

In 2013, he co-founded The Humor Section in Beijing with Irish comedian Des Bishop, helping nurture China’s first generation of stand-up comedians, many of whom later became household names.

Based between New York and Beijing, Tony has performed across the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and aboard international cruise ships. He was the first Chinese stand-up comedian to perform on an international cruise ship and brought his English-language solo show, Too Funny for Beijing, to the 2025 Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival.

Chinese audiences may also recognize Tony as a co-host of the award-winning American-style late-night comedy program The Wicked Show (《恶毒梁欢秀》), which aired on TV.Sohu.

Tony has been interviewed or featured by dozens of major Chinese and international media outlets, including the BBC, The Atlantic, CNN, The Economist, The New York Times, and CCTV.

Tony Chou 周托尼是中国脱口秀行业的早期奠基人和重要推动者，也是极少数能够用英语在全球巡演的中国脱口秀演员之一。

自2013年起，他和 Des Bishop 在北京创办并运营脱口秀俱乐部“幽默小区（The Humor Section）”，孵化出中国第一代脱口秀演员，其中很多已成为家喻户晓的明星。

Tony Chou 常驻纽约和北京，喜剧足迹遍布美国和他的祖国中国，也扩展至英国、澳大利亚、爱尔兰、新加坡、中国香港、日本、泰国、马来西亚、越南，以及国际邮轮等多个国家和地区。

Amy Cui

Amy Cui is a bilingual comedian who delivers razor-sharp jokes with a fresh perspective, drawing from her journey from China to the heart of the New York City comedy scene.

She has performed at top clubs, including Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Comedy Club. She placed third in the NY Queer Comedy Festival and won Knockouts on the Rise.

She is also a co-host of Femmes & Friends, an open mic and comedy show that aims to uplift femme comedians and allies.

Amy Cui 是一位来自武汉、现居纽约的中英双语喜剧演员。

她长期在纽约各大俱乐部演出，包括 Broadway Comedy Club 和 Greenwich Comedy Club。她曾在 NY Queer Comedy Festival 获得季军，并在 Knockouts on the Rise 荣获冠军。

Karl Xie

Karl Xie is a stand-up comedian who performs in both English and Mandarin and the founder of DingHoComedy in Boston.

He regularly performs around the New York area, with credits including St. Marks Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. He also has his own Chinese-language stand-up comedy special.

Karl Xie 是波士顿顶好喜剧（DingHoComedy）主理人，中英文双语脱口秀演员。

他长期在纽约各大喜剧俱乐部演出，包括 St. Marks Comedy Club、Gotham Comedy Club、Broadway Comedy Club 和 Greenwich Village Comedy Club，并拥有个人中文脱口秀专场。

Ying 英子

Yingzi worked as an environmental engineer in Washington State for 26 years while raising three children as a single mother. After performing English-language stand-up comedy for 14 years on the side, she left her engineering career three years ago to pursue comedy professionally.

Her recent credits include being a finalist in the 2025 Clean Comedy Challenge and the 2026 Karma Comedy Festival.

During the pandemic, she also began performing stand-up in Chinese. In 2023, she received the Dashan Award (Booker’s Choice Award) at the Toronto International Chinese Comedy Festival.

From 2022 to 2025, Yingzi performed nearly 30 solo stand-up shows across Washington State. Since moving to New York in 2025, she has produced and performed two additional solo shows.

英子曾在美国华盛顿州担任环保工程师26年，同时作为单身母亲养育三个孩子。在利用业余时间表演英文脱口秀14年后，她于三年前辞去工程师工作，正式成为职业脱口秀演员。

她近期的成绩包括入围2025年全美 Clean Comedy Challenge 总决赛，以及2026年 Karma Comedy Festival 总决赛。

疫情期间，她也开始尝试中文脱口秀。2023年，她在多伦多国际中文喜剧节获得大山奖（Booker’s Choice Award）。

2022年至2025年间，英子在华盛顿州举办了近30场个人脱口秀专场。2025年搬到纽约后，她又制作并演出了两场个人专场。

Carl Rappa

Originally from Chicago, Carl started performing stand-up comedy while living abroad in China and has headlined showcases in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chicago.

His comedy combines observations, impressions, and characters inspired by his experiences growing up in the Midwest and living abroad.

After moving to Manhattan in late 2025, he is now considered an official New Yorker by locals.

He continues to learn Chinese at a rate of one word per month.

Carl 来自芝加哥。他在中国生活期间开始接触并表演单口喜剧，曾在北京、上海和芝加哥的喜剧演出中担任主打演员。

他的喜剧融合了生活观察、人物模仿和角色表演，灵感主要来自他在美国中西部的成长经历，以及多年海外生活带来的文化碰撞。

2025年底搬到曼哈顿后，据当地人说，他现在已经可以算是一名“官方认证”的纽约客了。

他也一直在坚持学习中文——目前的学习速度大约是：每个月一个新词。
