Burning Into Myself
6 – 9PM
Collective Z opens its doors in the Lower East Side with a night of heat, presence, and gathering on Thursday, February 19 from 6–9pm.
This grand opening marks the launch of a new artist-forward gallery and project space dedicated to work that refuses to be polite, restrained, or still. Collective Z is built as a site for experimentation, cross-disciplinary exchange, and culture in motion—where art, fashion, performance, and community intersect.
The opening also debuts Burning into Myself, a solo exhibition by Alex Z. Wang. The show presents a body of abstract works shaped by pressure, intensity, and interior transformation—paintings that burn, scar, and hold trace. These works sit in a state of becoming, where emotion is embedded into surface and color carries weight.
Join Collective Z for an evening of art, conversation, and connection as we inaugurate the space—downtown, alive, and unapologetically present.
