FAM! পরিবার, 大家, familia, fanmi, famille! Join Brooklyn FAM’s 5th annual flagship festival of arts and music, presented in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance and NY Immigration Coalition.
This year’s free, family-friendly event is a celebration of our African and Asian diaspora voices on the theme of Nourish.
Come see an incredible line-up of music, dance, workshops, participatory puppet theatre, mixed-media crafting, Malian and Japanese indigo dyeing, Bengali art-making, aromatherapy, and more. Food and beverage available for purchase.
Artists include the Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts, Àṣẹ Dance Theater, Art Jones, LeLe Dai, Yuki Kikushi, Nehprii Amenii, Maria Camia, Alison Kuo, Nelise Bey, and Aba Gyepi-Garbrah.
- RSVP now at brooklynfam.org, then check in on event day for a free, limited-edition event tote bag (one per household, while supplies last), fun raffle entry, and access to all of the activities and giveaways.
- Early check-ins between 9:45 and 11 a.m. also get a free, limited-edition embroidered Brooklyn FAM picnic blanket (one per household, while supplies last).
- This year’s festival is made possible by production support from the Prospect Park Alliance and NY Immigration Coalition and funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council, New York State Council on the Arts, Howard Gilman Foundation, NYC Tourism Foundation, local business sponsors including Ix Restaurant and Granru market, and individual donors.
