BRIClab: Anna Moench HUNGER

March 21 – March 22, 2014
7:30 – 8:30PM

In the hills of China’s Loess Plateau, a couple mourns the death of their son. Their search for an illegal afterlife bride is complicated by the fact that their son had committed an act of horrifying violence, leaving them outcasts. Told with actors and puppets, Hunger explores the boundary between life and death and the friction amid tradition and progress in contemporary China.
