bluesoul & Mayyadda: a celebration show

This is a birthday show, a show of solidarity across communities, and an homage to the Brooklyn music scene. Come through for brand new indie r&b music at the iconic Sultan Room!

Mayyadda and bluesoul have known each other since their time doing college a cappella. While Mayyadda is based in Minneapolis and bluesoul is based in Brooklyn, they’ve made a tradition of performing together in NYC as they each carve their musical paths. Mayyadda is a bastion of soulful vocals and vulnerable lyricism; bluesoul marries soul-brushed vocals and lush harmonies with eclectic production. Most iconically, this event will be the 30th birthday celebration for Sid Gopinath (guitarist, producer, and ½ of bluesoul)!
