Artists at the Institute - Patty Chang

Tuesday, February 9, 2021
6PM

The Institute of Fine Arts invites you to join as Patty Chang discusses her practice starting from performance, moving through video, expanding to research projects such as the acclaimed exhibition titled Patty Chang: The Wandering Lake 2009-2017 at the Queens Museum in New York, up to her current multichannel project Milk Debt on view at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn from March 5 to May 16, 2021.

Chang is an artist working in performance, video, writing, and installation. Her early performance work was influenced by the 1960s and ‘70s performance work, as well as identity politics of the 1980s and '90s. More recently, her work has been focused on site-specific, performative, narrative projects that deal with cultural imaginaries, the environment, and the body.

Please note this is a live streamed event. A link to view the event will be sent out via email the morning of the lecture to those who RSVP in advance.
