In this 90 minute workshop, professional grant writer Kelly Kuwabara will share insights based on her experience as a review panelist and a writer for more than 2 decades. We will provide an overview of the arts grant landscape, common pitfalls to avoid, and tips on how to write a clear and winning grant proposal – whether you’re applying as an individual artist or arts organization.

Participants will then be invited to get into the heads of grantors and award panelists; we’ll evaluate sample project descriptions and budgets and then discuss in small groups.

This highly participatory workshop will equip you with the know-how and confidence in writing your next grant proposal.
