After School Special

School of Visual Arts presents After School Special, the College’s annual alumni film and animation festival, featuring work by SVA’s most accomplished graduates.

This year, the festival will be held in-person at SVA Theatre (333 West 23rd Street) from 9/17-9/21. It is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Screenings and Q&A’s with featured alumni include:

• The NYC Premiere of 7 Beats Per Minute with documentarian Yuqi Kang.
• Adult Swim’s animated series Common Side Effects with co-creator Joe Bennett.
• The docs Raoul’s, A New York Story (with directors Greg Olliver and Karim Raoul) and Pay or Die (with directors Scott Ruderman and Rachael Dyer).
• The Wild Robot with five of its VFX artists and animators.
• A “Best Of” screening of SVA’s recent graduates’ thesis films.
