AAPI VOICES: DISCOVERING HEALING AND STRENGTH THROUGH ART

Wednesday, March 30, 2022
5 – 6PM

Please join facilitators Beata Moon and Gaven Trinidad and the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable in this gathering space for standing in solidarity with the AAPI community as we recognize the one-year anniversary of the Atlanta Spa shooting and the ongoing violence being perpetrated against this community.

We are creating this space with the intention for communities to gather and to express themselves through art. As art educators, we teach our students to use art as a tool to process and be in discourse with our communities and the world around us. The space will center AAPI folx, but we welcome and encourage people of all identities to attend and participate so that we may foster strength in building intersectional communities.

If you have a poem, song, a short clip (1-2minutes) of art you created that has helped you process what has been going on in the world, please submit via this form (link) by March 29th.

We also welcome those who wish to participate just by being present in the conversation and art share.

**PLEASE NOTE: This event will NOT be recorded.
