AAPI VISA Support Program Registration 2023

Initiated through a partnership between Jesse Obremski’s Gibney Company Moving Toward Justice Fellowship, OUR PATHS, and Obremski/Works, an AAPI VISA Support Workshop will be held at 280 Gibney, Studio W, on April 29th, 2023 to support international artists (to the United States) in gathering community, meeting lawyers, finding portfolio guidance, understanding their rights, and learning about supportive organizations in each person’s pursuit of an artist’s VISA. In further partnership with Gibney Company, Obremski/Works, Asian American Arts Alliance, Asian American Foundation, and government agencies, this AAPI VISA Support Workshop will be open to AAPI individuals, no matter what VISA they have currently, their age, or their status, and will be an annual event through Obremski/Works.

Who and What:
- Guest Presenter from the Community Relations Bureau New York City Commission on Human Rights
- Guest Speakers Rohan Bhargava, Maiko Harada, Tsubasa Nishioka, and Richard Sayama
- A U.S government registered lawyer

This event is exclusively for AAPI* individuals, who are not U.S. citizens. OUR PATHS and Obremski/Works acknowledge that AAPI includes, and is not limited to, Asian American and Pacific Islander cultural heritage and identity.

This event has a capacity of 30 individuals.
