2027 What Can We Do? Information Session

Tuesday, November 17, 2026
12 – 1PM

What Can We Do? (WCWD), presented by the Asian American Arts Alliance (A4), is a grant program for artists creating community-care projects that engage and support Asian communities and other communities of color in NYC.

Executive director, Lisa Gold, and programs manager, Liqing Xu, will present a pre-submission information session via Zoom to discuss the opportunity and review the guidelines and best practices for applying. We’ll also have time for Q&A.

For this year’s iteration of the program, a minimum of 14 NYC-based artists will be selected as project awardees. Each artist will receive $1,500 to create and carry out ideas to benefit AAPI communities in Chinatown, Manhattan (District 1); and/or Flushing, Queens (District 20); and/or strengthen AAPI and cross-cultural solidarities.

The project engagements must be completed within a four-month period (February 1–June 1, 2027).

The application deadline is January 7, 2027 at 11:59 pm ET.

For more information about the program and how to apply, please refer to the opportunity details.
