Hill Art Foundation seeks artists and educators to host a Teen Talk master class on a topic of their choosing for NYC high school teens and beyond. These 45-minute sessions, followed by a 15 minute Q&A, will be promoted to NYC high schoolers who have had their afterschool programming cut due to Covid-19.

Teen Talk sessions can be on:

The study of art

A deep dive into an artist or period of art

A behind the scenes look into the studio practice of a working artist

A glimpse into a museum that is currently closed to the public

Each Teen Talk will be hosted on Zoom and made available to NYC high school students. Each session will be recorded record and will be featured on the Hill Art Foundation website so that anyone can access them in the future.

Please send a resume and short proposal to TeenTalks@hillartfoundation.org.
Proposals should include an outline of your 45 minute session, why you chose a particular artist or period, and the reasons you are the right candidate to present on that topic. Please include whether you have prior experience working with teens and how comfortable you are working on a digital platform.

Once the applications are reviewed, Hill Art Foundation will be in touch about next steps and scheduling. Applications should be submitted by Friday, May 1st.
Teen Talks will most likely be live on Zoom Wednesday afternoons.

A stipend of $500 will be offered to all educators and artists that participate in this program.
