Calling all creative types!
MMDG’s Marketing Internship is a comprehensive opportunity for those invested in exploring a career in marketing for the arts. Marketing interns can explore graphic design, photography/videography, media relations, social media engagement and more. Please note this opportunity is fully in-person and COVID vaccination is required.
Internship Term Dates: June 21st, 2022 - August 19th, 2022
General responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Participate in Marketing team meetings and planning sessions
- Assist Marketing and Digital Engagement Associate with updates and maintenance of the Mark - - Morris Dance Group website
- Assist with developing social media, including drafting posts, formatting images, etc.
- Build and maintain PR lists; pull quotes from press articles; draft press releases
- Assist with cross-promotion of all Dance Group and Dance Center programs and events
- Conduct marketing research
- Perform Salesforce data entry and imports from external data sources such as Active, Mindbody, and Facebook
- Archive marketing content
- Support Marketing & Communications Manager with email marketing program - creating and uploading graphic assets, drafting eblasts
- Provide administrative assistance as needed to marketing staff
Job Duties
- CRM
- Salesforce data entry (export/imports) - Active, Mindbody, FB leads
- Upload/edit media assets for Pardot - TT to outline architecture
- Email marketing
- “Own” Adult Programs blasts
- Look at segmentation
- Website
- Update UTM tracker document
- Update filenames, metadata, etc. for images
- Social Media
- Asset prep, content creation
- Video / Digital Asset creation
- Mara has some experience with Premiere Pro
- Help Trevor and Rachel with easy edits
- PR
- Building lists, following up, maintaining current info
- Fitness / wellness contacts for Digital Dance Center
- Clippings, save/add to press counter
- Pull quotes from press
- Thought leadership opportunity research / speaking engagements?
- Dance/USA, Dance/NYC
- Devo
- Membership portal assets
- Editorialize recommended places
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft applications, Google apps, and basic website content management systems
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and/or CRM systems, such as Salesforce or Hubspot, strongly desired
- Good writing skills also a plus
