ELSEHERE International Call for Works

Visual, performative, digital, hybrid practices

INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR WORKS – ELSEHERE Artist Catalog & Platform

ELSEHERE is an international art label and culture platform. ELSEHERE produces, presents, and preserves works that expand the edges of contemporary expression across visual, kinetic, performative, and digital forms. Through a curatorial network spanning the United States, Europe, and Asia, ELSEHERE is building an artist centered ecosystem where practices can move, be seen, and enter into dialogue across borders.

This open call focuses on works rather than only portfolios or CVs.
We are looking for pieces that can be visually presented and thoughtfully framed within ELSEHERE’s international context.

What We Are Looking For:

  • We welcome works from artists and collectives whose practices move between:
  • Performance, choreography, embodied practice
  • Moving image, film, video, screen-based work
  • Installation and spatial practice
  • Photography, still image, and mixed media
  • Digital, web based, algorithmic or hybrid formats
  • Sound and voice based work that can be held within a visual framework (for example, video stills, documentation, graphic scores)

There is no fixed theme, but ELSEHERE is particularly interested in works that:

  • Carry a clear conceptual core rather than only surface effect
  • Show a distinct personal language and sensibility
  • Move between bodies, images, technologies, and narratives
  • Cross cultural, geographic, or linguistic boundaries
  • Question or extend how art can exist in a more than human era
  • Sit slightly “before” the existing categories or labels

Works do not need to be large productions. A single strong piece with clarity, depth, and its own vocabulary is more important than scale.

Visual Presentation Focus

All works should be presentable through visual documentation:

  • Images, stills, or installation views
  • Video documentation or screen recording
  • Simple diagrams, scores, or visual notations for process based works

We understand that performance and research based practices are complex. The key is that there is a way for audiences, curators, and institutions to encounter the work visually through ELSEHERE’s platforms.

Selected works and artists will be:

Featured in the ELSEHERE International Artist Catalog
Presented on ELSEHERE’s website after launch, with dedicated project pages or dossiers
Considered for inclusion in ELSEHERE Magazine issues and thematic features
Eligible for highlights across ELSEHERE’s social channels and partner platforms
Placed within a long term curatorial and archival framework for future collaborations

Selected artists may also be:

  • Invited as ELSEHERE label artists in future phases
  • Recommended to institutions, festivals, and partners for commissions or presentations
  • Considered for future residencies, labs, and cross border projects

All inclusion is non exclusive. Copyright remains fully with the artist.

There is no submission fee. Selected artists will not be asked to pay for publication or exposure. If future commercial opportunities arise, they will be handled through separate agreements that clearly set out the artist’s compensation.

Submission deadline: January 15, 2026. Selected artists will be contacted by email after the curatorial review with next steps.

Requirements

  • Artists and collectives of any nationality, based anywhere
  • Works can be completed or part of a clearly defined ongoing series
  • English is welcome, but works do not need to be English language based
