About UrbanGlass
Founded in 1977 UrbanGlass was the first artist-access glass center in the United States and is now the largest with 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art studio space. Our mission is to foster experimentation and advance the use and critical understanding of glass as a creative medium.

Our studios serve as a resource for professional artists as well as students seeking to learn about the possibilities of the material. Classes are offered to students at all skill levels and as young as age 11 in a variety of techniques, including glassblowing, kiln work, flameworking, mosaics, and neon. UrbanGlass also hosts an exhibition space and storefront. The store features high-end home decor, lighting, tableware and jewelry made in glass by artists working in the studio. Annually, the exhibition space consists of a window gallery with six juried shows and a larger curated gallery with monthly public programming.

About the Role
The Development and Special Projects Manager is an energetic self-starter willing to fully engage in providing broad scope support to ensure optimal function of the Development department to advance the fundraising and resource development goals of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Development and collaborating closely with the Executive Director.

General Responsibilities

  • Support the overall function of the Development team across projects and activities including grants, events, and marketing and communications
  • Assist with managing the fundraising database, Salesforce, including running donor analysis and reports, data entry, data integrity reports and projects, creation and implementation of protocols and procedures and other necessary projects that will contribute to the efficient function of the system
  • Facilitate the production of donor acknowledgement letters and tax receipts
  • Logistical support for fundraising and cultivation events
  • Project management and solicitation support around sponsorships, ticket sales, auction items, etc. in relation to the annual Gala and other organization wide events
  • Coordinate and manage all fundraising relamailings.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of related development experience
  • Must be attentive to detail and highly organized
  • Experience with databases, Salesforce preferred
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to speak clearly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders
  • Structured multi-task project management capacity with an ability to strategize and adapt with competing assignments and deadlines.

Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt, salaried position with a two-year term limit. The salary range for the position will be $44,000 - $50,000 annually, as well as a paid time off package of 24 days of personal time with additional paid company holiday closures. We provide other employer supported benefits such as medical insurance, HSA, and 401K.
