Casting Call: Indigenous Actor

Emerge Collective is looking for professional actors with Indigenous cultural background for paid corporate work.

This casting call is specifically for a female Indigenous/Native American actor, age range mid-20 - 40, but we will consider applicants of different genders and age ranges.

Emerge Collective conducts interactive DEI training through drama-based live case studies, a method that’s proven effective and impactful across industries. A team of actors plus a facilitator use scripted scenes about gender, race, culture, language, and LGBT+ to discuss how these topics impact participants’ experiences in the workplace. This work is in-person, and we are closely following our clients’ Covid protocols.

Experience in corporate work is desired but not necessary. We’re looking for an experienced theater performer skilled in improv and who enjoys being a part of an ensemble. You will work with an experienced team of DEI actor-facilitators, and we will support you to grow with the work. Competitive pay.

Dates are June 10 - June 12, 2023 in New Orleans, more dates possible in the future. Travel, accommodation, and meals are provided.

Requirements

Experience in live performance, theatre, and improv. Experience and enjoyment of ensemble work are a plus.
