BRAject OPEN CALL @ ABG

A thought-provoking art exhibit and fundraising event benefiting Pink Ribbon Jax’s free mammogram and imaging services initiative, BRAject is alife-affirming
celebration featuring ordinary bras transformed into original works of art.

Created by artists, breast cancer survivors, and those who love them, the artrageous bras will be on display at Alexander Brest Gallery June 12 - July 9, 2025, as part of “Breasts at Brest.”

BRAejct creations will be on auction during the opening reception, June 12, 2025, and available via online bidding the remainder of the exhibit.

• Exhibition Dates: June 12 – July 9, 2025 | Opening Night Reception: June 12, 2025
• Artist’s submission will be exhibited, on auction during the opening night reception and available for online bidding the remainder of the exhibit
• Please note: a coffee table style book will be printed at the end of the BRAject tour

To Enter
• Create an original work of art using an ordinary bra as your canvas
• If multiple artists work on one bra, please provide one point of contact for all communications
• Upon receipt of your bra, you will be sent a confirmation email

To Create your ARTrageous Bra
• Use a new, padded bra, your choice of color and size, with or without underwire and straps as short as possible (not extended) as your design base
• Completely cover the entire bra – front, back, both straps and sides of the bra
• Decoration must be non-perishable
• Please refrain from incorporating stickers. They do not adhere well and are prone to failing
• Please do not stitch the back of the bra closed

Disclaimer
Pink Ribbon Jax, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation (“PRJ”) shall accept submissions for its BRAject, Artrageous Bras for a Cause (“BRAject”). Each artist of a BRAject submission hereby acknowledges and agrees that PRJ shall have the right to take a digital image of the submission (the “Digital Image”). PRJ shall own the right to the Digital Image and may use it in print, marketing, publishing, on social media and any other print or digital form as PRJ deems necessary.

BRAject encourages artistic expression in celebration of those living with breast cancer and those we have lost to this thief of a disease.

To exhibit at Alexander Brest Gallery, entries must be received by Thursday, May 1, 2025

To Submit your ARTrageous Bra
• Each bra should be accompanied by a completed Artist Submission Form, including the following details:
o Name of Artist
o Bra title
o Contact name, email address and mobile number
o Brief paragraph about what inspired your creation
• Email completed Submission Form to marica@pinkribbonjax.org
• Please submit your completed bra by May 1st in a sturdy box with your completed
