The Associate Director of Visitor Experience provides leadership and management of all front-of-house operations including the museum’s store, café, admissions and coat check, and all volunteers. This position requires a strategic thinker, assuming a key role in project and process planning, daily management and execution, as well as business analysis, for a wide range of projects that support revenue growth and optimal performance within the Visitor Experience Department (VE). This is a full-time position that reports to the Deputy Director for Administration and CFO. Job schedule: Wednesday through Sunday. Hoping to fill before the end of November. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Three to five years progressively responsible experience in membership, marketing, business management, or development, coupled with mid- or senior-level customer service experience, preferably in a cultural or nonprofit institution.
A professional, warm, and positive attitude, along with strong customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis required. Ability to translate mathematical information into concise reports and identify data that need tracking to improve business performance.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Google Drive, as well as both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with ticketing software required.
Knowledge of PoS systems desirable.
Ability to work non-traditional hours including holidays, nights, and weekends when required.
