Pen Parentis Presents our Winter Poetry Night with Ravi Shankar, Lydia Cortes, Amy Dryansky and Karen Skolfield

Tuesday, January 12, 2016
7 – 9:30PM

Join Pen Parentis for our annual Winter Poetry Night on January 12th, an event that poetry-lovers look forward to the entire year. Always a warm and intimate group of poets who also happen to be parents, this year the group includes the editor and founder of Drunken Boat, Ravi Shankar, Lydia Cortes, Amy Dryansky, and Karen Skolfield. Every one of these poets has won numerous awards. Every one has a large individual fan following. Come early to get a seat.

Pen Parentis Literary Salons, a community-building arts program sponsored by the literary nonprofit Pen Parentis, feature the diversity of creative work by authors who are also parents—and to celebrate their fifteenth season, their Spring 2016 Salons will sparkle with literary celebrities. Held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm, the season runs January through May with readings, book signings, and honest conversations with a plethora of writers who are also parents. All events are held at the elegant Andaz Wall Street, 75 Wall, who graciously provides complimentary wine and light refreshments. Roundtable conversations are moderated Columbia MFA classmates, authors M. M. De Voe and Christina Chiu of Pen Parentis. All book-lovers 21+ are welcome to attend the entire season of free monthly events. Books for signings will be vended by indie great, Greenlight Bookstore.
