New York Japan CineFest

Celebrate twelve years of New York Japan CineFest! Join Asia Society and the organizers of CineFest for fiction, documentary and anime, and short films around the world portraying historical and contemporary Japan.

Day one includes a 90-minute screening of short films and a welcome reception. On day two, the program features a special calligraphy performance by acclaimed artist Chifumi Niimi at 3 p.m. followed by the world premiere of Chifumi’s first short documentary film, “Shu Ha Ri.”
