2:00 - 3:00 pm: Flamenco Steps

Flamenco dance for all ages. Experience the depth and soulfoulness of Spain’s most passionate tradition.

3:00 - 4:00 pm: Fun with Kathak dance

Kathak is a captivating dance style known for its detailed footwork, captivating spins, and graceful gestures. It is a platform for expressing a variety of rhythmic patterns. In our “Fun with Kathak Dance” class, we’ll begin by learning some basic footwork and hand movements. From there, we’ll progress to learning simple choreography and dance along to recorded music. This class is designed to provide a chance for everyone, regardless of experience, to discover the enchanting world of Kathak—an esteemed Indian classical dance form. It’s an opportunity to explore its beauty and intricacies in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

About Ricardo Osorio “El Niño”: Ricardo Osorio is a flamenco dancer who began his flamenco studies in Mexico City complementing his discipline with contemporary dance and ballet classes. He further perfected his craft in Spain with various icons of Spanish dance. He has performed in different prominent theaters of Mexico, Canada and the US.

About Neela Zareen: Neela Zareen is an Indian classical dancer based in New York City and has trained in two styles: Kuchipudi with Guru Sadhana Paranji and Kathak with Guru Prerana Deshpande. “Neela Dance Academy” is dedicated to promoting Kathak and Kuchipudi dances and is located in Jackson Heights, Queens.
