Event Artists
Charlene Kaye is a musician and comedian based in New York. As a musician, she has released several critically acclaimed albums and dozens of music videos, and has toured with Arctic Monkeys, alt-J and St. Vincent. As a comedian, she recently completed a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run of her hit solo show Tiger Daughter: Or, How I Brought My Immigrant Mother Ultimate Shame, which will be presented by comedy legend Margaret Cho at the Public Theater on October 24-25.
Kaye will appear in the upcoming movie RON starring Margaret Cho, has played SNL with Coldplay dressed as an alien, and appeared for two seconds at Kendall’s birthday party in Succession, which she tells anybody who will listen. Kaye hosts a podcast called @goldenhourpod with Charlene Kaye which spotlights musicians of Asian descent.
Her music video for her song “Closer Than This” led Rolling Stone to hail her as “a fully realized pop goddess,” and led her mother to rate the video 0 out of 5 stars.
Hay Chun is a dynamic musician whose career spans continents and creative fields. Born on the Gold Coast, Australia, and raised in Korea, Hay pursued Art and Music studies in the U.S., specializing in Music Production & Sound Design at the San Francisco Art School. After returning to Korea, Hay balanced roles as a music practitioner, university instructor, and researcher, earning advanced degrees and collaborating with fashion giants like Dior and Chanel.
In 2020, Hay moved to New York to study Music Technology at NYU, completing a second Master’s degree and expanding her compositional approach with electronic and vintage instruments. This innovative work earned Hay a nomination as a film music director at the Canada International Film Festival.
Post-NYU, Hay contributed to projects for artists like slowthai and Minnie and directed music for the Disney+ documentary “The Lost Boys” by NCT 127. Known for blending Eastern scales with Western instruments, Hay’s experimental compositions enhance both visual art exhibitions and societal conversations.
Recently, Hay showcased her music at the Feltzine art party as a DJ, reflecting her passion for immersive and dynamic musical experiences.
