SEEKING ASIAN AMERICANS for a new painting series - sign up at link.

There have been 2000+ Anti-Asian hate crimes in the States since the pandemic began, but our governments have done little to combat this. So, we have built our own movements via social media campaigns and on the street protests!

Seeking to raise further awareness of these issues and feelings, I am embarking on a 40+ canvas painting project of Asian Americans/us wearing masks holding up signs of awareness/protest/personal messages.

If you’d like to participate as a virtual sitter for a painting this fall (anytime from Sept-Dec), please sign up below.

All sitters are compensated for their Zoom Painting Session at $23 USD an hour (via Venmo/PayPal/Zelle/etc). The Zoom Painting Session is around 1.5-2 hours long, and you can take breaks in between.

TO SIGN UP, you will need (see link):
Step 1: Submit 2 Images - of yourself and a Zoom virtual background of your choosing
Step 2: Tell me about yourself
Step 3: Schedule Zoom Painting Session (2 hours)

About the Exhibition: These paintings will exhibit as part of my Columbia MFA 2021 Thesis Exhibition in NYC, and then the show will travel to LA afterwards. Sitters can have their names as part of the project (as a collaborator), or you can choose to remain anonymous.

Thank you in advance for your kind consideration to collaborate. You’ll find more about me, the artist, at www.susanmbchen.com
