DESCRIPTION:*Sleeve Lines 袖谱* is a new full-length contemporary dance w
 ork by Miaotian Sun and Valkyrie Yao\, presented by QIAA and supported by 
 the 2026 LMCC Manhattan Arts Grants. Rooted in Chinese classical and folk 
 dance but contemporary in its voice\, the work unfolds in two parts. *袖 
 Sleeve* moves from bare\, working hands\, shaped by labor\, care\, and scr
 utiny\, to silk sleeves that hide\, extend\, and connect the body. *谱 Sc
 ore* turns to lineage\, language\, and naming\, asking how the systems we 
 use to order the world also leave things out. Bridging the two\, *Sleeve L
 ines* explores what the body carries across migration and memory\, and wha
 t gets written down.
