REGRANTING ORGANIZATIONS

The Alliance of Resident of Theatres/New York
The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (A.R.T./New York) awards grants for not-for-profit theatre companies within New York City area.

The American Music Center
The American Music Center (AMC) is a national service and information center for new American music, offering grant programs for both organizations and individual artists.

The Association of Hispanic Arts
The Association of Hispanic Arts (AHA) awards unrestricted project support grants to eligible Latino arts and cultural organizations throughout the New York tri-state area.

Bronx Council on the Arts
The Bronx Council on the Arts houses a small database of NYC grants, which it calls Grants Tomb. It awards grants to artists based in the Bronx.

Brooklyn Arts Council
The Brooklyn Arts Council has its own community regrant program that is dedicated to supporting the work of local artists and serving as an impetus to small arts organizations that are enhancing the community.

Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island
The Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island (COAHSI) awards grants for art projects and programming of excellence and cultural significance.

The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC)
The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council awards grants to community-based artists and arts organizations in every part of Manhattan.

Meet the Composer
Meet the Composer offers general operating support grants for professional music organizations and music presenters with annual budgets of $300,000 or less.

The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)
NYFA houses the largest database nationwide of grants, awards, and services for artists and art organizations. Good general information pertaining to both financing and applying for grants. It also offers a series of regrant programs and fellowships for artists.

Queens Council on the Arts
The Queens Council on the Arts administers the Queens Community Arts Fund (QCAF), a Regrant program that provides support towards cultural activities in the borough of Queens.

Cultural Policy.org lists a number of foundations and organizations dedicated to providing grants for artists and arts organizations. Gives very detailed descriptions of each foundation or organization.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center is dedicated to helping grantseekers succeed. It has over 2000 grantmakers in their database. *Note: You have to pay to search the database online, BUT you do not have to pay if you go to their library, located at 79 5th Ave. (btw. 15th St. and 16th St.), where you can search their database and view their library.
